What the accessibility score covers

FixSift checks the parts of accessibility that can be judged from your page's markup:

• Images that carry meaning but have no text alternative.
• Form inputs without labels.
• Heading levels that skip or run out of order.
• Link text that says nothing on its own ("click here", "read more").
• Declared page language.
• Obvious contrast problems in the markup.

What it is not

This is not a WCAG conformance audit and it is not a legal compliance statement. A great deal of accessibility — keyboard traps, focus order, screen-reader flow, real colour contrast as rendered — can only be assessed by testing the live page, often with assistive technology and a human. FixSift finds the machine-checkable problems; it does not certify anything.
