SEO fundamentals audit

Not a full crawl — the fundamentals. This scan checks whether your page states its purpose clearly, uses honest structure, and gives search engines something accurate to work with.

What you get: your FixSift score and your highest-priority findings, with the evidence behind each one. See what FixSift checks.

What the scan checks

This page reads the FixSift scan through one lens: the on-page basics that are worth getting right before anything advanced. The scanner is the same one the homepage uses — what changes is which findings are brought to the front.

Title and description

Whether they exist, whether they describe the page, and whether they are written for a human reading a result list.

Heading structure

Whether there is a single clear main heading and whether the sub-headings describe real sections.

Content substance

Whether the page contains enough real, readable text to be about something.

Purpose clarity

Whether a search engine could tell what query this page deserves to answer.

Basic crawlability signals

Whether key content is in text, whether the canonical intent of the page is clear, and whether important information is hidden from readers.

Why this matters

The fundamentals are unglamorous and they are also where most small sites lose the most. A page with no description, three H1s and a headline that names nothing will underperform whatever else is done to it.

They are also the part you can fix yourself in an afternoon, without a crawler, an agency or a migration.

FixSift checks the basics and stops there deliberately. It is not a crawler and does not pretend to replace one — but it will tell you honestly whether the basics are the problem.

What this looks like in practice

A homepage title that is just the company name

It wastes the single most visible line in a search result on information the searcher did not search for.

A missing meta description

Search engines will construct one, and it will rarely be the sentence you would have chosen.

Headings used as decorative text

When heading levels are chosen by size, the page's structure conveys nothing.

Common issues we find

Keyword stuffing in titles

Titles built from repeated keywords read badly to people, which is who has to click them.

Duplicated titles and descriptions across pages

Common on template-built sites and easy to fix once you can see it.

Thin pages that exist for a keyword

Pages with nothing useful on them are a liability whatever their metadata says.

Assuming fundamentals are a strategy

They are a prerequisite. Getting them right does not by itself produce rankings.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a full SEO audit?

No. It covers on-page fundamentals for the page you scan. It does not crawl your whole site, analyse backlinks, check server logs or track rankings.

Do I still need an SEO crawler?

If you have a large site, yes. This is the fast check for whether the basics are in place on the pages that matter most.

Does FixSift report my rankings?

No. FixSift does not have a verified source for ranking, impression or click data, so it does not display any. Search Console remains the honest source for that.

Will fixing these improve my traffic?

It may, and FixSift will not promise it. The fundamentals remove avoidable handicaps; what they cannot do is make a page worth ranking if it is not.
